amazing view of dickinson bay. Walking distance to the beach its only 2 mins. Staff taking care of the house are really helpful and friendly. House is very simple but confortable and spacious.

i am not sure any other place in the area has these views! two decks overlooking the ocean, and the mountains in back of the home, plus another deck/patio and private pool area in back. 5 minute walk to the fluffy white sand beach and clear turquoise warm water. everything was perfect, such welcoming, nice people in the area too. the living room and kitchen have the same amazing views. two generously-sized bedrooms with modern, tiled baths en suite. i am so glad i found this place, because it is a no-brainer now to just run down to antigua and stay here for a few days, often!!! communication with our host was quick and easy. everything was provided, we didn't even need to contact them for anything during our stay. great set up with several homes down a private lane, but each it private. nobody walking by, etc.. perfect alternative to the crowds and cattle-style structure of the all-inclusive resorts. the island is small enough to explore each unique section, so i would rent a car. 365 beaches! restaurants/shopping in st johns is a 5 minute car ride away.

The villa was tidy and whilst the lounge and kitchen were a little tired the bedrooms were a very good size. We stayed with our two teenage children who appreciated a double bed each and they had their own bathroom which was great. Our bedroom had a super kingsize bed and its own bathroom too. Both rooms had plenty of shower mats and towels and both rooms had air conditioning which was very welcome in the extreme heat. The view from the villa is stunning both on the balcony looking out towards the sea and the main patio area which looked out onto hills. Watching the sunset from the balcony was a real highlight of our holiday and it was done from the comfort of our own villa. The beach is very clean, the water very clear and was indeed only a 5 minute walk from the villa. We visited a few beaches around the island during our stay (car essential) and this was definitely one of the nicest. Although the villa has its own pool we found that we didn’t use it much as the beach was so close! The lounge area is not a conventional room but an area enclosed by several sheets of fine gauze designed to keep out the mosquitos and the small lizards that scurry around the property. At the same time an excellent view of the sea was maintained and it also allowed in any refreshing breeze. We were worried about mosquitos as there were no mosquito nets for the beds but although we suffered a few bites they were few and didn’t bother us that much. Kevin was our contact and looked after us during our stay. He was excellent and attentive and the problems we had were dealt with very promptly. We did encounter a few problems during our stay. On our very first night the air conditioning and water stopped working just as we were going to bed. Kevin came out and fixed it immediately. On the second night the house alarm would not stop beeping. Kevin did not know how to fix this particular problem but he suggested to disconnect the alarm from the mains supply when we were in the property and reconnect it when we left for the day. This solution was a bit inconvenient but at least it got rid of the beeping. We wished that the building work at the adjacent property could have been disconnected with such ease. Whilst we appreciate that this was not the fault of our villa owner the constant drilling and banging from next door made a peaceful read of a book on the balcony very difficult. The ceiling fan in the main bedroom wasn’t working properly and we had to stay in the villa until it was fixed which meant that we wasted a few hours waiting for this to be finished instead of continuing with our plans for that morning. The kitchen was missing some basic items such as a toaster (cooker had no grill|) and baking trays (again, Kevin rectifed), and we are not convinced that the fridge was working properly as milk went sour despite it being within the use by date and being stored in the fridge. Margarine was very soft. Additionally, bulbs were missing or not working in lamps (Kevin replaced) and the water supply failed again on a separate occasion due to a faulty connection. Although Kevin again fixed this problem, by the time it had been done our evening plans had been ruined as we could not shower after a day on the beach or use the toilet. There is some traffic noise and the Sandals Resort near the beach had loud music events during each evening, but thankfully they didn’t go on too late! In short the views from the villa are wonderful and the gorgeous beach is very close. This is what you are paying for!
